Math and Science are fully live across Classes 5-8. We're actively adding more CBSE/NCERT subjects, English, Social Science, and others are on the way.

Which languages are supported?

SpeakMonk currently supports English and Hinglish, the natural mix of Hindi and English most Indian kids use every day. It switches seamlessly based on your child's preference. Additional Indian languages are on our roadmap and launching soon.

Why don't you use normal quizzes and MCQs?

MCQs are fine for quick fact checks, but they often create an illusion of learning. A child can guess "C" without understanding. SpeakMonk's core flow asks your child to explain ideas in their own words, which builds deeper understanding. We may use quick fact reviews where they fit, but proof of understanding always comes from explanation.

Does the platform offer anything beyond the school syllabus?

Skill-based programs, including AI, Robotics, Abacus, and new languages, are available exclusively through our school partnerships, not on the student app. If you'd like these at your child's school, visit our Schools page or ask your school to partner with us.

Is human mentor support included in the free beta?

No. The free early-access beta lets your child explore the AI Teacher at no cost using Quiet Mode (chat). Human mentor support, including progress reviews, personalized learning plans, and check-in calls, is exclusive to Premium.

What if my child is shy or can't use voice?

No problem. Free includes Quiet Mode. Your child can answer Socratic prompts by chat (or structured steps) instead of speaking aloud. Premium adds live voice when they're ready, but Quiet Mode stays available when the room is noisy or they prefer typing.

When do human mentors get involved?

For Premium subscribers, human mentors monitor your child's journey in the background. They step in if a child misses sessions or shows poor performance on lesson summaries, ensuring AI-led teaching is backed by human oversight.

Do mentors join the live AI sessions?

No, mentors do not intervene in real-time. Instead, they review session data to assign personalized chapters, create custom learning plans, and make check-in calls to keep your child on track.

What if my child doesn't understand a concept?

The AI Teacher guides your child with step-by-step help on every plan and won't move on until they can explain the idea. On Premium, human mentors also notice when a child struggles and adjust the learning path.

Won't kids just rush or game the answers?

We designed SpeakMonk so clicking "Yes, I understand" isn't enough. At key moments the AI Teacher pauses and asks for proof of understanding in the child's own words. Low-effort repeat answers get challenged, so shortcuts don't unlock the next step.

Is the platform safe for my child?

SpeakMonk keeps lessons bound to the chapter so conversations stay on learning. Age-appropriate filters and on-topic guardrails gently pull kids back if they wander. Your child's data is never shared with third parties and is used only for teaching.

How do I stay updated on my child's progress?

All users can track progress in the app. Premium subscribers also receive detailed weekly report emails from their assigned human mentor, covering syllabus mastery, time spent learning, and areas where extra support was provided.
